Prodigy 2.0 Leggett and Platt Adjustable Bed Base with Wireless:in addition to relying on our own expertise, we gather interviews and data from the best sources around [20 Oct 17]Out of Box, Initial Impressions:Delivered undamaged. Tipped the delivery team because they schlepped it into the bedroom (at ground floor but this thing is heavy). Opened the box, checked the contents and did the test in all of 10 minutes. Assembly, if you can call it that, consists of screwing in four legs and flipping the thing over. Turtle-Turtle. I used carpet coasters under the legs for hernia-free positioning. All features work as described and expected. The mattress did not stay in place (to my liking) w/o the mattress retainer but the mattress retainer also works as a sheet/bedspread retainer, so one stone... Vibration works and suits us at the lowest level but we're not trying to pass kidney stones. The bed has four USB ports on each side but since our bed is in an existing frame where the ports start out below the frame and would move past on the way up we haven't found much utility with this feature. Frankly eight ports sounds like you're trying to tie down Gulliver with cables. This is a wall-hugger design and the bed does move towards the wall as the head is raised. If you expect this will keep your shoulders at a constant distance from the wall you will be disappointed. The fact is that as your head is raised, even with the bed moving back, you will be positioned a bit further from the wall. This is exacerbated by raising the pillow adjustment. Something about geometry--the high school kind. Given that, the wall-hugger feature on the Lamp;P probably works as well as on any other adjustable.Operation, excepting the magic fingers, is quiet under our circumstances. Circumstances being the room is carpeted, we use a  Sound+Sleep High Fidelity Sleep Sound Machine with Real Non-Looping Nature Sounds, Fan Sounds, White Noise, and Adaptive Sound Technology  and we're comparing this to a hospital bed. Perhaps if you're watching Shetland it might be distracting enough to miss a couple of lines but under no circumstances does the noise rise to the level of annoying. Our Setup:Queen size. Tuft and Needle mattress. 30 year old "House of Denmark" teak bed--removed the mattress supports and the Lamp;P + Tamp;N fit perfectly.Complaints/Suggestions:The remote control holder doesn't. It is simply too small and the remote will not fit making the holder a useless piece of plastic. The controllable lights are an interesting feature but have yet to find the utility. If you're getting up in the middle of the night because "you're in a hurry" you don't have the time to dork with the remote. It would be nice if the lights were on a timer and triggered by motion sensing. Feet down, lights on. Then my wife wouldn't have to wake me up to dork with the remote. The remote pretty much requires invoking some operation to wake it up. [update 11/12/17: It is possible to light the remote with the "Lock" button w/o actually locking the remote. This is the top right button and pretty easy to thumb in the dark. Dog's bed is on that side and the light annoys the dog. I know, first world problem. [update 11/12/17: And it turns out there is a third world solution: duct tape (actually used Gorilla tape...). Created a tab with a small adhesive patch on the top so the flap can be lifted if needed. It's all there. Android isn't feeling the love. BT on the phone will sync but the app cannot find the bed. The instructions indicate the bed should advertise itself as "Okin-#####" but it is "LP BED CONTROL" and while that is much more descriptive the Android App just does not grok it. My testing has been with an older version of Android (4.4.1) and I will update this review when I get a newer release but expect no difference. [update 10/12/17: And I would be wrong. Loaded on Moto X4 running Nougat, linked with LP BED CONTROL and the app worked. Not sure if the app had been updated or this is related to the underlying Android Version.] In any event it is a problem. If the app requires a minimum API level this can be handled in the app and the user alerted at install. Fix it or drop it. There is no try.Bottom Line:For the features (wall hugger, pillow tilt, magic fingers), tank-like quality of build and durability (so far) I would recommend the Prodigy 2.0 as a very good product at a reasonable price.austin mall, classic, seattle mallProdigy 2.0 Leggett and Platt Adjustable Bed Base with Wireless
